Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Junior Structural Engineer supports the design, analysis, and inspection of structural components for buildings and infrastructure projects. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this role assists in preparing calculations, drawings, and reports while learning to ensure the structural integrity and compliance of engineering works with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in structural analysis and design for concrete, steel, and masonry structures.

  • Prepare structural drawings, layouts, and detailed technical documentation.

  • Support in reviewing architectural and engineering plans for structural feasibility.

  • Conduct basic site inspections and assist in monitoring ongoing structural works.

  • Assist in preparing structural calculation reports and material take-offs.

  • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to resolve minor design issues.

  • Follow applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations in all assigned tasks.

  • Help maintain project records and design files in an organized manner.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • 0–2 years of experience in structural engineering (internship or training acceptable).

  • Basic knowledge of structural analysis principles and engineering materials.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD; exposure to design tools like ETABS, SAFE, or STAAD.Pro is a plus.

  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a professional engineering environment.

  • Good communication and team collaboration skills.

  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to engineering tasks.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and structural details.
