We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Junior Structural Assembly Supervisor to support and oversee day-to-day structural assembly operations. This role is suitable for candidates with a strong foundation in mechanical or structural assembly processes who are ready to take on leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior supervisors, engineers, and technicians to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality assembly of fabricated components and structures.
Supervise the assembly of structural components as per drawings and standard procedures.
Allocate daily tasks to assembly workers and ensure proper resource utilization.
Track progress of assigned jobs and escalate issues to senior supervisors.
Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, welding symbols, and assembly diagrams.
Ensure work is executed in accordance with design specifications and tolerances.
Perform visual checks and measurements to confirm proper alignment, fitment, and bolting/welding accuracy.
Ensure rework or adjustments are addressed promptly and properly documented.
Ensure safe assembly practices and adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free assembly area.
Coordinate with the fabrication, welding, and quality teams for timely availability of sub-assemblies.
Report daily activity, resource needs, and any issues to the senior supervisor or production manager.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Structural / Fabrication Engineering.
1–3 years of experience in structural or mechanical assembly work.
Basic understanding of fabrication processes, fasteners, welding joints, and handling of structural components.
Ability to interpret basic assembly drawings and use measurement tools like tapes, levels, and gauges.
Good communication and teamwork skills with willingness to take initiative.
