We are seeking a competent and experienced Static Equipment Engineer (Mid-Level) to manage the design, analysis, inspection, and maintenance of static mechanical equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that equipment complies with industry standards including ASME Section VIII, API 650, and API 660, and will support the mechanical integrity and reliability of plant operations.
Prepare and review design calculations, technical specifications, datasheets, and drawings for pressure vessels, storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
Ensure designs are in full compliance with ASME VIII, API 650, API 660, and client standards.
Interface with vendors to review and approve fabrication drawings and procedures.
Coordinate and support inspection activities, including visual inspections, NDT, hydrotesting, and thickness measurements.
Evaluate inspection data to assess equipment condition and identify any required maintenance or repair actions.
Contribute to long-term maintenance strategies for static equipment assets.
Participate in mechanical engineering scope of capital projects and turnarounds.
Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
Ensure timely execution of engineering deliverables for projects involving static equipment.
Ensure all designs and evaluations are aligned with applicable industry codes and standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including calculations, inspection reports, and compliance documents.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and collaborate closely with inspection, QA/QC, and operations teams.
Participate in root cause analysis of failures related to static equipment.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3–6 years of hands-on experience in static equipment engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or heavy industry sectors.
Proficiency in ASME Section VIII, API 650, API 660, and related codes/standards.
Experience with pressure vessel design tools (e.g., PV Elite, COMPRESS).
Strong skills in reviewing and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Good time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.
API 510 or equivalent static equipment inspection certification (desirable).
Training or certification in QA/QC, mechanical integrity, or RBI is a plus.
