The Senior Simulation Engineer – CFD & Stress Testing leads the simulation efforts for valve product development, combining deep expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure optimal fluid flow performance and mechanical integrity. This role drives simulation strategy, mentors engineering teams, and partners closely with R&D, design, and manufacturing to influence product innovation and reliability. The senior engineer manages complex simulation projects, advances modeling techniques, and ensures adherence to industry standards and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of complex CFD and FEA simulations on valve components and assemblies to predict fluid flow behavior, pressure profiles, structural stresses, and fatigue life.
Establish simulation methodologies and best practices aligned with valve industry standards (ASME, API) and company quality systems.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (design, testing, manufacturing) to integrate simulation insights into design iterations, validating and optimizing valve performance and durability.
Oversee the interpretation of simulation data, troubleshoot modeling challenges, and propose innovative design or process improvements.
Manage multiple simulation projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality analysis and technical reports to support product development milestones.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level simulation engineers, fostering technical growth and effective knowledge transfer.
Drive continuous improvement in simulation tools, processes, and workflows to enhance engineering efficiency and accuracy.
Represent the simulation function in design reviews, project meetings, and technical presentations to senior management and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees preferred
Experience:
7+ years of experience in CFD and FEA simulation within valve manufacturing, fluid machinery, or related industries
Proven track record of leading complex simulation projects and influencing product design through simulation insights
Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency in CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or equivalent) and FEA software (ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, etc.)
Strong CAD modeling skills with software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar
Deep understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, structural analysis, and fatigue principles
Familiarity with valve-specific standards (ASME, API) and validation/testing protocols
