The Senior Shuttering Foreman is responsible for managing and supervising all shuttering/formwork activities on the construction site. This includes planning, assigning tasks to carpenters and helpers, inspecting completed formwork, and ensuring work complies with engineering drawings, timelines, and safety standards.
Plan and organize all shuttering work in coordination with engineers and site management.
Interpret formwork and structural drawings, and ensure accurate implementation on site.
Supervise and lead teams of shuttering carpenters and helpers.
Inspect erected formwork for alignment, stability, and readiness before concrete pours.
Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship, ensuring all formwork is safe and durable.
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and formwork systems.
Schedule and prioritize daily tasks to meet project deadlines.
Coordinate with other site teams including steel fixers, concrete teams, and safety officers.
Conduct tool-box talks and ensure team compliance with HSE standards.
Report progress and issues to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
Diploma or technical qualification in civil construction or related field.
7+ years of experience in shuttering/formwork work, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of conventional and system formwork (e.g., PERI, Doka, MIVAN).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and formwork layouts.
Proven leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
Familiarity with safety regulations and lifting protocols related to formwork handling.
Formal training or certification in construction supervision.
Safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience in high-rise buildings, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects.
