We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Shutdown Supervisor to assist in overseeing valve replacement and upgrade activities during planned shutdowns and maintenance outages in water treatment plants. This role supports the shutdown team by coordinating valve work, ensuring safety compliance, and helping to maintain schedules.
Shutdown Coordination Support
Assist in supervising valve replacement and upgrade tasks during scheduled plant shutdowns.
Support the planning and scheduling of valve work with contractors and internal teams.
Help monitor work progress to meet shutdown timelines and quality standards.
Valve Replacement & Maintenance
Participate in valve removal, installation, and upgrades under the guidance of senior supervisors.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of valves and related materials.
Assist in troubleshooting valve issues during shutdown activities.
Safety & Compliance
Promote strict adherence to safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to senior supervisors.
Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a safety-first culture.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of valve replacement and upgrade activities.
Assist in updating work orders and shutdown reports in maintenance management systems.
Communicate effectively with shutdown teams, supervisors, and operations personnel.

Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Technical training or certification in mechanical or maintenance fields preferred
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in valve maintenance, mechanical work, or related shutdown activities
Some exposure to valve replacement or project support is beneficial
Skills:
Basic understanding of valve types and replacement procedures
Ability to follow shutdown protocols and safety procedures
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and work under supervision
