We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Shift Supervisor to lead turbine unit operations at our power generation facility. This senior-level role involves full accountability for shift performance, safety compliance, and operational excellence across gas or steam turbine systems. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep technical knowledge of turbine and power plant operations, and the ability to manage complex scenarios with confidence and clarity.
Lead the turbine operations team across multiple units during assigned shifts, ensuring safe and efficient plant operation.
Coordinate shift start-up/shut-down procedures, emergency responses, and transition handovers.
Serve as the primary decision-maker during off-hours and emergencies.
Ensure that turbine systems operate within defined parameters for efficiency, performance, and environmental compliance.
Monitor DCS/SCADA systems and take corrective actions to maintain optimal operational conditions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase reliability.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level operators and supervisors, fostering a high-performance shift team.
Conduct performance evaluations, recommend training needs, and support career progression planning.
Lead regular shift briefings, safety meetings, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Manage abnormal conditions, coordinate immediate responses, and conduct root cause analysis for operational issues.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of shift events, incidents, and production data.
Report to plant operations leadership on shift performance, issues, and compliance status.
Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations across the shift team.
Conduct audits, risk assessments, and safety drills.
Lead investigations of safety incidents and implement corrective actions.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering
Advanced certifications in turbine systems, plant operations, or control room management preferred
7+ years of power plant or turbine unit experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior role
Proven leadership in steam or gas turbine operations
Experience managing control room operations and crisis response
Expert-level understanding of turbine systems and power plant operations
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Proficient in DCS/SCADA systems and technical troubleshooting
Excellent communication, reporting, and decision-making skills
Advanced safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA 30)
OEM turbine operation certifications (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.)
Power plant operations certification (e.g., IADC, Level III)
