We are seeking an experienced and proactive Mid-Level Shift Supervisor to oversee turbine operations and manage routine shift activities at our power generation facility. The role involves supervising plant personnel during shifts, ensuring optimal turbine performance, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with maintenance and control room teams. Candidates should bring solid hands-on experience with steam or gas turbines and the ability to lead operational staff effectively during rotating shifts.
Supervise turbine unit operations, including start-up, shut-down, and routine monitoring activities.
Interpret system indicators and DCS readings, taking corrective action when required.
Ensure plant parameters are maintained within safe and efficient operating ranges.
Lead a team of operators and technicians during assigned shifts.
Conduct shift handovers, assign duties, and ensure continuity of operations.
Support staff development through on-the-job training and mentorship.
Identify and respond to operational abnormalities and minor equipment malfunctions.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule and assist in corrective actions.
Provide real-time updates to the control room and escalate critical issues as necessary.
Enforce plant safety rules and ensure compliance with environmental and operational standards.
Perform safety audits and participate in incident investigations.
Promote use of PPE and implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Maintain detailed shift logs, recording key operational metrics and events.
Assist in the preparation of performance reports and technical summaries.
Ensure proper documentation of incidents, maintenance activities, and operational changes.

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering
OEM or power plant operations certification preferred
3–6 years of experience in a power plant or industrial turbine environment
Experience operating or supervising steam or gas turbine systems
Prior shift supervision experience is highly desirable
Strong understanding of turbine operations and control systems (DCS/SCADA)
Ability to lead teams under rotating shift schedules
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong communication, coordination, and reporting capabilities
HSE certifications (OSHA, NEBOSH)
Turbine or control room operation certification (OEM, IADC, etc.)
