We are seeking a motivated and technically competent Junior Shift Supervisor to support operations in the turbine unit of our power generation facility. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with foundational knowledge of power plant processes and a desire to grow into supervisory responsibilities. Under the guidance of senior staff, you will help monitor and coordinate turbine operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with operating procedures during your assigned shift.
Assist in monitoring turbine systems (steam/gas) during shift operations to ensure optimal performance.
Observe control panels, indicators, and alarms to detect potential issues and notify senior operators or engineers.
Support routine equipment inspections and log readings at regular intervals.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure smooth shift transitions.
Maintain shift logbooks and documentation for operational changes and incidents.
Participate in daily shift briefings and follow instructions from senior supervisors or control room operators.
Respond to basic alarms and assist in implementing standard operating procedures during abnormal conditions.
Participate in emergency drills and contribute to safe, efficient system recovery as trained.
Escalate major system abnormalities to appropriate personnel promptly.
Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental policies during plant operations.
Use appropriate PPE and follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when assisting with equipment isolation.
Report safety concerns or hazards to the shift lead or safety officer.
Participate in technical training sessions and hands-on learning under supervision.
Study turbine operation manuals and plant procedures to build knowledge for future supervisory responsibilities.
Demonstrate readiness to take on increasing responsibilities within the operations team.

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering
Power plant operation coursework or turbine system training is preferred
0–2 years of experience in a power generation or industrial facility (internship or trainee program preferred)
Exposure to turbine systems (gas/steam) through coursework or technical training
Basic understanding of turbine operation and energy generation principles
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends
Strong safety mindset and attention to operational detail
Basic Safety Training (e.g., OSHA 10, First Aid)
Training in control room operations or turbine systems is a plus
