We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Junior – Sheet Metal Supervisor to support and lead production activities within our sheet metal fabrication unit. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for individuals with strong technical skills in sheet metal processes who are ready to step into a leadership position. The role focuses on daily operations, safety, quality, and productivity of the sheet metal team.
Support and oversee day-to-day operations on the shop floor for sheet metal cutting, bending, forming, punching, and assembly processes.
Ensure that production goals, schedules, and quality standards are met.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of operators and technicians on assigned shifts.
Provide direction, basic training, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
Ensure all fabricated components meet drawing specifications and company quality standards.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure proper PPE and safety procedures are followed.
Monitor material usage, minimize waste, and support timely replenishment of raw materials.
Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs.
Coordinate with planning, quality, and engineering teams to support efficient production flow.
Review technical drawings and verify setup parameters (e.g., tooling, tolerances).
Track daily production output and report key performance indicators.
Support root cause analysis for non-conforming products and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 5S and lean principles.
Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, or related trade.
1–3 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication, including laser cutting, CNC punching, or press brake operations.
Strong understanding of technical drawings and fabrication tolerances.
Basic experience supervising or leading small production teams or shifts.
Exposure to ERP or MES systems for job tracking.
Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or quality management systems.
Willingness to work in shifts or flexible hours as needed.
