The Mid-Level Sensor Calibration Technician is responsible for independently executing calibration, verification, and documentation activities for temperature, relative humidity (RH), and pressure sensors used in controlled environments and process systems. The technician ensures equipment accuracy, regulatory compliance, and contributes to quality system improvements.
Sensor Calibration & Testing
Perform in-house and on-site calibration of temperature probes, RTDs, thermocouples, RH sensors, and pressure transmitters using traceable standards.
Analyze sensor response, accuracy, drift, and measurement reliability across defined ranges.
Compliance & Documentation
Accurately document calibration results in accordance with internal SOPs and external standards (e.g., ISO 17025, GAMP, GxP, FDA, WHO).
Ensure timely and complete record-keeping for audits and traceability.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Operate and maintain calibration instruments such as dry block calibrators, RH generators, pressure calibrators, and HART communicators.
Assist in scheduling and executing preventive maintenance on calibration assets.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
Identify sensor issues or deviations and recommend corrective actions.
Perform basic root cause analysis on recurring calibration failures or abnormal sensor behavior.
Process Knowledge & Standards
Apply working knowledge of measurement principles and calibration best practices.
Ensure all work aligns with standards from NIST, IEC, ASTM, and site-specific quality systems.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Coordinate with QA, production, engineering, and HVAC teams for equipment access, shutdown planning, and system readiness.
Participate in validation projects and temperature/humidity mapping as needed.
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience:
