We are seeking a technically competent and detail-driven Mid-Level Valve Design Engineer to design, develop, and validate mechanical valves used in applications such as automotive systems, thermal control, HVAC, hydraulics, or industrial fluid handling. The ideal candidate will contribute independently to design projects, conduct engineering analysis, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to bring valve products from concept to production.
Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical valve systems, including pressure, thermal, directional, and flow control valves.
Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, tolerance stack-ups, and support BOM generation.
Perform engineering analysis (e.g., flow rate, pressure drop, sealing force, stress).
Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and root cause analysis for quality issues.
Assist in prototyping, functional testing, and interpretation of test data.
Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure DFM/DFA compliance and efficient production.
Provide technical documentation, support validation plans (DVP&R), and aid in customer presentations.
✅ Valve Mechanism Design: Solenoid, poppet, butterfly, spool, check, or relief valves
✅ CAD & Documentation: SolidWorks, Creo, or similar tools with GD&T and BOM control
✅ Engineering Calculations & Analysis: Flow, pressure, force balance, and material selection
✅ Simulation (Basic to Intermediate): CFD for flow, FEA for stress (preferred)
✅ Prototyping & Testing: Hands-on support for early-stage design and functional testing
✅ Cross-Functional Collaboration: With production, quality, and supply chain teams
✅ Design for Manufacturability: Tolerance stack-ups, process-friendly design, cost optimization
✅ Regulatory & Quality Compliance: ISO, SAE, or ASME standards relevant to valves

Working knowledge of fluid systems, materials, and sealing technologies
Experience with design validation, lab testing, and engineering change processes
Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, and basic simulation tools (a plus)
Experience in industries such as automotive, HVAC, hydraulic systems, or energy
Exposure to electro-mechanical valve actuation or thermal control systems
Hands-on experience with prototype fabrication and test instrumentation
Ability to analyze field performance data and provide corrective design actions
