The Mid-Level Senior SCADA/DCS Engineer is responsible for the development, configuration, testing, and optimization of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems) used for monitoring and controlling industrial processes. The role supports both new system implementation and ongoing maintenance, ensuring system integrity, reliability, and performance in critical operations.
Control System Design & Configuration – Programming and configuring SCADA/DCS platforms and interfaces (e.g., Siemens PCS7, Honeywell Experion, ABB 800xA, Emerson DeltaV).
System Integration – Linking control systems with field instrumentation, PLCs, RTUs, and third-party interfaces.
HMI Development – Designing intuitive human-machine interfaces (HMI) for efficient operator interaction.
Testing & Commissioning – Supporting FAT, SAT, loop checks, and full commissioning of control systems.
Troubleshooting & Optimization – Diagnosing faults, optimizing logic, and supporting system upgrades.
Configure and program SCADA/DCS systems including control logic, interlocks, alarms, and data historian setup.
Develop HMI graphics and ensure compliance with industry usability and safety standards.
Interface with process engineers and instrument technicians to ensure end-to-end control loop functionality.
Assist in system testing, validation, commissioning, and operator training.
Maintain system documentation, configuration backups, and change logs.
Support the integration of cybersecurity and system hardening protocols in OT environments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
4–7 years of experience in SCADA/DCS programming and system engineering in process industries.
Hands-on experience with at least one major SCADA/DCS platform (e.g., Emerson, Honeywell, Siemens, ABB, GE, Schneider).
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
Strong understanding of industrial control systems and process instrumentation.
Proficient in PLC/DCS programming and HMI design.
Analytical problem-solving and effective troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation ability.
Awareness of cybersecurity best practices in control systems.
