The Junior SCADA/DCS Engineer assists in the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems) under the guidance of senior engineers. This entry-level role is focused on learning control systems, supporting integration efforts, and participating in testing and commissioning of automation platforms used in process or utility environments.
Support Configuration Tasks – Assist in developing and modifying SCADA/DCS control logic, HMI graphics, and alarm setups.
Field System Integration – Help connect field devices (sensors, transmitters, PLCs) to SCADA/DCS platforms.
Testing & Documentation – Participate in system testing, loop checks, and maintenance of configuration records.
Learning Platform Tools – Gain hands-on exposure to systems like Siemens PCS7, Honeywell Experion, ABB 800xA, or Emerson DeltaV.
Maintenance Support – Provide basic troubleshooting assistance for routine faults and alarm diagnostics.
Assist in developing HMI pages and configuring control loops under supervision.
Support senior engineers during FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
Help document I/O lists, configuration backups, and system architecture diagrams.
Participate in scheduled system maintenance, backups, and patch updates.
Follow safety and cybersecurity best practices for industrial control environments.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Systems Engineering.
0–2 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably with exposure to SCADA/DCS environments.
Familiarity with control logic principles, signal types, and instrumentation basics.
Interest in learning industrial automation platforms and protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Profibus).
Eagerness to learn SCADA/DCS tools and industrial process control.
Basic troubleshooting and technical reporting skills.
Good team collaboration and communication.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Willingness to work in field environments when required.
