The Senior Proposal Engineer (Mid-Level) is responsible for preparing and coordinating detailed technical and commercial proposals in response to client RFQs, tenders, and project bids. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate, and competitive submissions that align with technical specifications and commercial strategies.
Review tender documents (RFPs, RFQs, BOQs, drawings, specs) and analyze project scope, client requirements, and bid strategies.
Prepare complete bid packages, including technical proposals, compliance matrices, price breakdowns, project timelines, and execution methodologies.
Liaise with engineering, procurement, operations, and finance teams to collect and consolidate technical and commercial inputs.
Conduct cost estimation based on material take-offs (MTO), vendor quotes, in-house rates, and project assumptions.
Interface with vendors and subcontractors to obtain technical data, specifications, and pricing.
Ensure all proposals comply with technical specifications, industry standards, and internal approval processes.
Support the sales team during pre-bid meetings, bid clarifications, and client presentations.
Maintain historical data of bids, pricing, and lessons learned to improve future submissions.
Assist in developing proposal templates, case studies, and boilerplate content for consistency and efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
3–5 years of experience in proposal engineering, estimation, or technical sales support in a relevant industry.
Strong knowledge of engineering deliverables, costing methodologies, and bidding procedures.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and proposal formatting tools; knowledge of ERP or CRM systems is a plus.
Familiarity with international codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, IEC, ISO) related to your sector.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective proposal writing and coordination.
Proactive, team-oriented, and capable of managing multiple bids simultaneously.
