We are looking for a results-driven and experienced Senior Project Manager – Automation to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automation projects across oil & gas facilities. The ideal candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee automation scope in EPC and brownfield projects, and ensure timely, cost-effective, and safe deployment of automation and control systems such as DCS, PLC, SCADA, and SIS. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical understanding, and exceptional stakeholder management.
Manage end-to-end execution of automation and control system projects from concept to commissioning.
Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets for automation-related activities, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Lead cross-functional project teams including engineers, automation specialists, vendors, and contractors.
Oversee design, integration, procurement, testing, and implementation of DCS, PLC, SCADA, and safety systems (SIS).
Ensure all automation systems meet regulatory, safety, cybersecurity, and functional requirements (IEC, ISA, API, etc.).
Maintain close coordination with internal departments (process, electrical, IT, operations) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, EPCs).
Prepare and maintain project documentation including technical specifications, risk assessments, change orders, and progress reports.
Manage vendor and contractor performance, FAT/SAT activities, and field commissioning support.
Monitor KPIs related to automation project delivery including safety, quality, cost, and schedule adherence.
Drive continuous improvement and lessons-learned processes across automation projects.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Automation, or Control Systems Engineering
12–15+ years of experience in automation projects in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in project management roles
Proven experience managing large-scale EPC or brownfield automation projects
Strong knowledge of DCS/PLC/SCADA systems from major vendors (Emerson, Honeywell, Siemens, ABB, Yokogawa)
Familiarity with industry standards (ISA, IEC 61511, IEC 62443, API, NEC)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred
Functional Safety and/or Industrial Cybersecurity certification is an advantage
Excellent leadership, organizational, and stakeholder communication skills
