Job Summary:

The Senior HVAC Sales Engineer (Senior Level) is responsible for leading high-value sales efforts for HVAC systems and solutions across major projects. The role involves strategic client engagement, technical leadership in system design and proposal development, and driving revenue growth through new and existing accounts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end HVAC project sales from technical evaluation, proposal development, and pricing through to contract finalization.

  • Engage with developers, consultants, EPCs, and facility managers to understand project scopes and position company solutions effectively.

  • Design and recommend customized HVAC systems including chillers, VRF, AHUs, FCUs, air purification, ducting, and controls based on performance, cost, and efficiency targets.

  • Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, compliance statements, and value-engineered alternatives.

  • Conduct technical presentations, project briefings, and solution justifications to senior stakeholders and project decision-makers.

  • Develop and execute client account strategies to build long-term relationships and secure recurring business.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering, execution, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and feasible proposals.

  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity, pricing trends, and new technologies to refine sales strategies.

  • Mentor junior sales engineers and contribute to the development of the sales organization’s knowledge base.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or HVAC Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.

  • 7–10 years of experience in HVAC sales, technical proposal development, and key account management.

  • Strong technical expertise in HVAC design, sizing, controls integration, and energy efficiency analysis.

  • Proficient in tools like AutoCAD, HAP, Carrier E20-II, and Excel-based costing models.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Proven success in closing large commercial/industrial HVAC projects or retrofit contracts.

  • Deep knowledge of international HVAC standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.) and local building codes.

  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple bids simultaneously, and meet revenue targets.
