Job Summary:

The Senior HVAC Sales Engineer (Mid-Level) is responsible for developing and closing HVAC solution sales by providing expert technical and commercial support. This role involves identifying opportunities, building client relationships, preparing proposals, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver competitive and compliant HVAC bids for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze HVAC project requirements from RFQs, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate technical proposals and quotations.

  • Design and size HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF, ducting) using tools such as HAP, AutoCAD, or vendor software.

  • Coordinate closely with consultants, MEP contractors, and end users to present system solutions and clarify technical queries.

  • Prepare cost estimates, techno-commercial bids, and compliance matrices in accordance with tender documents.

  • Negotiate with clients and vendors to finalize terms and secure contracts.

  • Collaborate with internal design, estimation, procurement, and execution teams to align proposed solutions with project feasibility.

  • Track leads, submit timely proposals, and manage bid follow-ups to close deals and achieve sales targets.

  • Stay updated on market trends, product developments, and competitor offerings in HVAC technologies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or equivalent.

  • 3–5 years of experience in HVAC technical sales, preferably in contracting or OEM environments.

  • Solid understanding of HVAC design principles, refrigeration cycles, and applicable standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.).

  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and load calculation tools such as HAP or Carrier E20-II.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with technical and commercial stakeholders.

  • Self-driven with strong follow-up, proposal structuring, and closing ability.

  • Experience in selling packaged HVAC systems, retrofits, or energy-efficient solutions.

  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
