The Senior Boiler Engineer is responsible for the design, integrity, performance optimization, and lifecycle management of boiler systems and associated pressure equipment. This role provides technical leadership in solving complex boiler-related issues, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving efficiency improvements, and supporting strategic decision-making for long-term asset reliability.
Lead engineering oversight of high-pressure steam boilers, auxiliary systems, and heat recovery equipment.
Drive performance optimization initiatives, including combustion tuning, heat rate improvements, and emissions control.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of boiler failures such as tube ruptures, fouling, slagging, or corrosion.
Oversee major maintenance events and outages, including inspection planning, contractor coordination, and QA/QC.
Ensure strict compliance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (Sections I, V, VIII, IX), NBIC, and local regulations.
Support long-term asset reliability strategies, including FFS (API 579), RBI, and condition monitoring.
Provide technical input for capital projects, boiler retrofits, and modifications (e.g., low-NOx burners, fuel conversion).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, maintenance, controls, and EHS) to align boiler operations with plant goals.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in boiler design, diagnostics, and standards interpretation.
Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and engineering documentation for senior leadership.
Boiler Reliability & Lifecycle Management
