The Senior Vice President / Vice President – Business Development (Valves) is responsible for leading global and regional business development strategies for industrial valve products and flow control systems. This executive role focuses on high-level sales leadership, strategic partnerships, market expansion, and revenue growth across sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, water, power, mining, and heavy industries. The position entails direct engagement with EPCs, OEMs, and large-scale end users to secure multi-million-dollar projects and long-term agreements.
Define and lead business development strategies to increase market share and open new regions and sectors.
Identify major projects, global framework agreements, and joint ventures that align with growth objectives.
Expand business into value-added services such as valve automation, diagnostics, and lifecycle support.
Engage directly with senior-level stakeholders within EPCs, end users, and consulting firms to influence specifications.
Negotiate strategic agreements including LTSAs, project-based contracts, and partnership deals.
Ensure tailored solutions are delivered across a broad valve portfolio including API/ANSI valves, control valves, automated and safety valves.
Forge alliances with valve OEMs, automation providers, and regional distributors.
Lead regional or global channel strategy, partner development, and performance optimization.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to identify gaps and innovation opportunities.
Lead product positioning and pricing strategies in coordination with product and marketing teams.
Work closely with engineering, project management, estimation, and service teams to ensure seamless proposal development and execution.
Mentor and lead a team of regional business development managers and strategic sales leads.
Present business plans, forecasts, performance reports, and strategic growth updates to the executive board.
Contribute to the company’s global expansion and investment planning related to the valves division.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (Master’s or MBA preferred)
15+ years of experience in valves, flow control, or industrial mechanical systems, with at least 5+ years in a senior or executive business development role
Proven experience in winning large-scale industrial projects across global markets
In-depth knowledge of valve standards (API, ASME, ANSI, ISO), applications, and procurement processes
Established client network within oil & gas, power, utilities, and EPC contractors
Experience in managing multi-regional sales and commercial teams preferred
