The Senior / Vice President – Business Development (Turbines) is responsible for leading global and regional business development strategies for gas, steam, and microturbine systems, including supply, retrofit, and long-term service solutions. This executive role focuses on expanding project pipelines, securing large industrial contracts, and developing strategic alliances in sectors such as power generation, oil & gas, district energy, and heavy industries. The role involves driving sales strategy, influencing major tenders, and managing high-level client relationships.
Define and execute the global/regional business development strategy for turbine products and services.
Identify growth opportunities in thermal power generation, cogeneration (CHP), combined cycle systems, and renewable-turbine hybrid integration.
Lead pursuit of high-value turbine projects and long-term service agreements (LTSAs) across key industrial sectors.
Engage senior executives at EPCs, utilities, IPPs, and industrial clients to drive early-stage project influence and secure contracts.
Negotiate large-scale supply, O&M, and performance-based service agreements.
Build strategic alliances with OEMs, technology providers, and EPC partners.
Oversee proposal strategy and client-specific bidding processes in coordination with technical and commercial teams.
Ensure all tenders meet client technical specifications and comply with international codes (API, ASME, ISO).
Drive growth in aftermarket business through retrofit solutions, upgrades, reliability enhancement, and condition-based maintenance programs.
Expand remote diagnostics, predictive analytics, and OEM-authorized service capabilities.
Lead and mentor regional business development directors, key account managers, and proposal leads.
Foster a high-performance, client-focused culture across geographies and functions.
Present sales forecasts, market trends, risk assessments, and strategic plans to the executive board.
Monitor competitor movements and emerging technologies to position the company as a market leader in turbine solutions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Power, or Energy Engineering (MBA or Master’s in Strategy/Management preferred)
15+ years of experience in turbine sales, engineering, or business development, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role
Strong experience with OEM turbine platforms (e.g., Siemens, GE, Solar Turbines, MAN, Mitsubishi)
Proven track record in securing turbine supply, installation, and LTSA contracts in global markets
Experience across both new build and retrofit/upgrade projects preferred
GCC or international market exposure essential
Turbine systems (gas, steam, microturbine) technical understanding
Executive-level business development and strategic sales
EPC and IPP engagement expertise
Contract structuring for supply, retrofit, and O&M
Leadership across multi-regional, cross-functional teams
