The Senior / Vice President – Business Development (Pumps & Motors) is responsible for leading business growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion for industrial pump and motor systems. This executive role focuses on acquiring major projects, managing high-value accounts, and developing new markets across sectors such as oil & gas, water and wastewater, power, manufacturing, and infrastructure. The position involves overseeing regional business development teams, engaging with EPCs and OEMs, and building long-term commercial alliances.
Develop and execute the global/regional business development strategy for pumps and motors, including vertical, horizontal, submersible, centrifugal, and process pumps, as well as low- and medium-voltage electric motors.
Identify new markets, applications, and clients across industrial and infrastructure segments.
Lead diversification into energy-efficient and smart pump systems.
Lead client engagements for multi-million-dollar supply contracts and long-term framework agreements.
Influence specifications at the pre-tender stage through strong relationships with consultants, EPCs, and developers.
Drive key account strategies for national utilities, oil companies, and large industrial clients.
Build strategic alliances with global OEMs (e.g., KSB, Grundfos, Sulzer, WEG, ABB, Siemens).
Expand regional presence through distributors, system integrators, and authorized service providers.
Oversee proposal development, ensuring alignment with client specifications, compliance with API/ISO/IEC standards, and commercial viability.
Support contract negotiations and risk management strategies in complex tenders.
Promote long-term service agreements (LTSAs), condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and spare parts programs.
Expand aftermarket revenue through reliability improvement, retrofits, and asset lifecycle services.
Lead regional business development managers, key account teams, and pre-sales engineers.
Collaborate with engineering, projects, operations, and service departments to ensure seamless project execution.
Present performance forecasts, risk assessments, and market intelligence to the executive board.
Contribute to annual planning, budget development, and strategic investment decisions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s or MBA preferred)
15+ years of experience in industrial pumps, motors, or rotating equipment, with 5+ years in a senior or executive business development role
Proven track record of winning major B2B and EPC contracts across global markets
Deep understanding of pump/motor applications, standards (API 610, ISO 5199, IEC), and maintenance practices
Experience in the GCC, MENA, or international industrial markets preferred
