The Senior / Vice President – Business Development (HVAC Systems) is responsible for driving strategic growth, market penetration, and high-value project acquisition for the company's HVAC division. This includes commercial and industrial HVAC systems such as chilled water systems, VRF/VRV, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, controls, and energy optimization solutions. The role focuses on expanding business across sectors including real estate, healthcare, infrastructure, data centers, and district cooling, while building long-term client relationships and leading cross-functional commercial teams.
Define and execute the business development strategy for HVAC products and solutions in target markets.
Identify large-scale opportunities in high-growth sectors (e.g., green buildings, data centers, healthcare, airports, commercial towers).
Support digital transformation and energy-efficiency initiatives across the HVAC offering.
Lead engagement with MEP consultants, EPC contractors, developers, and government clients to secure large HVAC contracts.
Influence project designs during early concept and tendering stages.
Oversee bidding, negotiation, and closure of multi-million-dollar projects and long-term O&M contracts.
Build and manage strategic alliances with global HVAC OEMs, technology vendors, and controls providers.
Expand business through regional partner networks, franchise models, and solution integrators.
Lead regional business development teams and key account managers to meet revenue and margin targets.
Review and approve technical-commercial proposals for complex HVAC packages.
Promote innovative HVAC solutions such as smart building integration, BMS-enabled HVAC systems, and hybrid cooling systems.
Drive adoption of energy-efficient technologies in compliance with LEED, Estidama, and ASHRAE standards.
Deliver regular reports on sales performance, pipeline forecasting, market trends, and risk assessments to executive leadership.
Align HVAC growth strategy with company-wide financial goals and capital investment planning.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or HVAC Engineering (Master’s or MBA preferred)
15+ years of experience in HVAC or mechanical building systems, with at least 5+ years in a senior business development or executive leadership role
Proven experience in winning and delivering large commercial or infrastructure HVAC projects
Strong understanding of HVAC system design, controls, sustainability standards, and tendering processes
Familiarity with GCC/international markets and established networks in real estate, government, and MEP sectors
