The Senior / Vice President – Business Development (Fabrication Services) is responsible for leading business development and strategic sales initiatives for industrial fabrication services. This includes custom mechanical fabrication, steel structures, skids, pressure vessels, piping spools, and modular assemblies for sectors such as oil & gas, power, water, infrastructure, and heavy industries. The role focuses on driving top-line growth, securing major EPC and OEM contracts, expanding regional presence, and building long-term strategic alliances.
Define and implement business development strategy for fabrication and modular assembly services.
Identify high-value fabrication opportunities and drive revenue through project acquisitions and repeat business.
Expand market presence across industrial sectors and geographies through partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures.
Lead engagement with EPCs, contractors, and industrial clients to secure large-scale fabrication projects.
Influence project specifications during early design or tender phases.
Oversee development and submission of technical-commercial proposals for high-value bids.
Build strategic relationships with OEMs, process licensors, and engineering firms to serve as a preferred fabrication partner.
Establish alliances with regional agents, JV partners, and material suppliers to enhance competitiveness.
Collaborate with engineering, estimation, production, and QA/QC teams to align offerings with project requirements.
Ensure capacity planning and shop capabilities are in sync with market demands and upcoming projects.
Expand value-added services such as on-site fabrication, refurbishment, welding repair, NDT, and coating solutions.
Promote full-lifecycle services and maintenance packages for long-term client retention.
Lead a high-performance team of business development managers, sales engineers, and proposal staff.
Work closely with project management, HSE, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure successful execution.
Present market insights, growth forecasts, sales pipeline status, and project updates to the executive board.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (ASME, API, ISO, AWS, etc.).
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master’s or MBA preferred)
15+ years of experience in mechanical fabrication, heavy industrial manufacturing, or EPC environments
At least 5+ years in a senior leadership or executive business development role
Proven track record of securing large fabrication contracts in oil & gas, power, or industrial sectors
Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, QA/QC protocols, and international standards
GCC/international market experience preferred
