The Senior / Vice President – Business Development (Boilers) is responsible for driving strategic growth, securing high-value projects, and expanding market presence for the company's boiler and thermal energy systems portfolio. This includes fire-tube and water-tube boilers, waste heat recovery units, thermal oil heaters, and turnkey steam systems. The VP will lead regional and global commercial efforts, focusing on large-scale industrial clients in oil & gas, power generation, district energy, food processing, chemicals, and manufacturing.
Develop and execute the global/regional business development strategy for boiler systems.
Identify key growth markets and develop tailored go-to-market plans targeting EPCs, utilities, government, and large industrial users.
Drive diversification into renewable-integrated and low-emission thermal technologies.
Lead strategic client relationships, influence project specifications, and secure multimillion-dollar contracts.
Engage in complex bid processes, technical-commercial negotiations, and long-term service agreements (LTSAs).
Promote the company’s capabilities in boiler supply, installation, commissioning, and O&M services.
Build strategic alliances with boiler OEMs, pressure part suppliers, burner manufacturers, and engineering partners.
Expand global reach through authorized agents, channel partners, and JV collaborations.
Oversee the proposal and bid development process, ensuring alignment with client needs and profitability goals.
Review and approve technical solutions, commercial terms, and risk mitigation strategies in major tenders.
Lead and mentor regional business development managers, bid managers, and sales engineers.
Work closely with engineering, projects, finance, and after-sales teams to align technical solutions with commercial goals.
Present strategic business plans, KPIs, and pipeline forecasts to the executive board.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and client feedback to continuously refine sales strategy.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering (Master’s or MBA preferred)
15+ years of experience in industrial boiler systems or thermal energy solutions, with at least 5 years in a senior business development role
Strong understanding of global boiler codes and standards (ASME, IBR, EN, ISO)
Proven experience managing large-scale project acquisitions in the oil & gas, power, or process industries
Excellent commercial acumen, contract negotiation skills, and technical understanding of steam systems
GCC/international experience preferred
