Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Sales and Business Development Manager – Pumps & Motors is responsible for driving business growth through the promotion, sale, and technical support of industrial pumps and electric motors. The role involves identifying opportunities, managing customer accounts, and providing tailored solutions across sectors such as water and wastewater, oil & gas, power generation, chemical processing, and infrastructure projects in the UAE and GCC markets.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Acquisition

  • Achieve assigned sales targets for pumps (centrifugal, submersible, API, vertical, etc.) and motors (LV, MV, HV).

  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of B2B customers including EPCs, OEMs, end-users, and consultants.

  • Provide end-to-end sales support—from lead generation and technical discussions to proposal submission and contract closure.

Business Development

  • Explore new market opportunities and partnerships in utilities, industrial plants, infrastructure, and facility management.

  • Track upcoming projects and work closely with procurement, engineering, and project development teams of target accounts.

Technical & Commercial Proposals

  • Collaborate with application and design engineers to prepare technical-compliant and cost-effective proposals.

  • Ensure selections meet client specifications, international standards (API, ISO), and site requirements.

Key Account Management

  • Maintain long-term relationships with key clients and ensure repeat business.

  • Conduct regular client meetings, site visits, and performance reviews.

Coordination & Execution

  • Work with logistics, project, and after-sales teams to ensure on-time delivery and support.

  • Follow up on product commissioning, performance issues, and warranty claims when necessary.

Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and competitor insights.

  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and product feedback.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • 6–10 years of sales or business development experience in industrial pumps and/or electric motors

  • Experience working with reputed OEMs (e.g., Grundfos, KSB, Wilo, ABB, Siemens, etc.)

  • Familiarity with pump and motor applications in utilities, oil & gas, power, and industrial facilities

  • UAE/GCC market experience preferred; valid driving license required


Key Skills:

  • Technical sales of rotating equipment

  • Pump and motor sizing, selection, and application knowledge

  • CRM and project pipeline tracking

  • Proposal preparation and tendering

  • Strong client relationship and negotiation skills

  • Understanding of industry codes (API 610, ISO, IEC)
