Job Summary
As a Junior Sales Engineer, you’ll partner closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise, conduct product demos, and support the full sales cycle. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a technical background who enjoy customer interaction and want to develop both their engineering and sales skills.
Technical Pre-Sales Support
Assist in qualifying prospects’ technical requirements and pain points.
Support senior sales engineers in solution design and proof-of-concept activities.
Product Demonstrations & Trials
Prepare and deliver standard product demos and hands-on trials under guidance.
Configure demo environments and tailor basic use-case scenarios to prospect needs.
Proposal & Documentation Assistance
Help draft technical sections of proposals, solution briefs, and response documents.
Maintain up-to-date product collateral, datasheets, and configurator tools.
Customer Communications
Respond to basic technical questions via email or call; escalate complex queries.
Gather and document customer feedback on product features and usability.
CRM & Reporting
Log all customer interactions, demo outcomes, and technical feedback in the CRM.
Produce weekly reports on demo activities, trial conversions, and technical objections.
Learning & Development
Participate in product training, sales methodology workshops, and shadowing senior engineers.
Build foundational knowledge of the product architecture, APIs, and integration points.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 0–2 years in a technical support, customer-facing engineering, or intern role; familiarity with SaaS or enterprise software a plus.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of networking, databases, scripting (Python, JavaScript), or cloud fundamentals.
Comfortable learning new platforms and tools; aptitude for troubleshooting and configuration.
Soft Skills:
Clear verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
