Job Title: Sale Engineer - Mechanical Equipment

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to lead the sales efforts for mechanical equipment solutions in the Oil & Gas, Power Plants, and EPC Contractors industries. The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical sales experience, a deep understanding of mechanical equipment, and the ability to drive business growth. In this role, you will be responsible for developing sales strategies, managing key accounts, leading technical presentations, and closing high-value deals. You will also mentor junior sales engineers and play a critical role in shaping the sales team’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive business growth in the mechanical equipment sector, targeting Oil & Gas, Power Plants, and EPC Contractors.

  • Manage and grow key accounts, cultivating long-term relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders in the target industries.

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of complex technical proposals, quotations, and contracts, ensuring they align with client needs and company capabilities.

  • Conduct advanced technical presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations with senior-level clients.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure the seamless execution of contracts and successful delivery of projects.

  • Provide expert technical guidance to clients, offering innovative solutions and recommendations that align with their project requirements.

  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement.

  • Mentor and provide leadership to junior and mid-level sales engineers, helping them improve their sales techniques and product knowledge.

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, enhancing the company’s brand presence and expanding the professional network.

  • Oversee sales forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis to ensure targets are met and exceeded.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, new technologies, and regulatory changes to provide clients with cutting-edge solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in technical sales within the mechanical equipment industry, with a proven track record in the Oil & Gas, Power Plants, and EPC Contractors sectors.

  • Strong background in managing large, complex sales deals and key accounts.

  • Deep understanding of mechanical equipment and systems used in Oil & Gas, Power Plants, and EPC Contractors.

  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that deliver measurable results.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and guiding sales teams.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and other sales tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in project management and technical proposal preparation.

  • Experience with product lifecycle management and cost estimation.

  • Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and certifications.

  • Extensive network within the Oil & Gas, Power Plants, and EPC Contractors industries.

  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
