The SCADA Supervisor will oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and optimization of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems across utility or industrial networks. The role ensures high availability, data integrity, and operational efficiency of control systems while leading a team of SCADA technicians/engineers.
Supervise the day-to-day monitoring of SCADA systems for performance and faults.
Ensure timely response to alarms, communication failures, and data discrepancies.
Conduct regular diagnostics and health checks.
Manage and schedule SCADA technicians or operators.
Provide training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Coordinate on-call support and ensure proper escalation procedures.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for SCADA equipment.
Coordinate and validate system updates, patches, and upgrades.
Oversee backup and recovery processes.
Review and validate changes to PLC/RTU configurations and HMI displays.
Work with vendors and internal teams for software/hardware integration.
Ensure adherence to cybersecurity and change management protocols.
Maintain accuracy of SCADA database tags and historian records.
Generate operational and performance reports.
Support real-time and historical data analysis for process optimization.
Ensure SCADA operations meet regulatory, safety, and cybersecurity standards.
Maintain documentation for audits, compliance checks, and inspections.
Participate in risk assessments and incident investigations.
Strong knowledge of SCADA systems (e.g., GE, Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware).
Familiarity with PLCs, RTUs, telemetry systems, and networking.
Leadership and team coordination abilities.
Understanding of industry protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC).
Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in control systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
5–8 years of SCADA experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Relevant certifications (e.g., SCADA Security, ISA, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
