The SCADA Field I/O Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of field I/O wiring, signal testing, and SCADA integration tasks. This leadership role ensures that all signal loops—from field instruments to SCADA interfaces—are installed, tested, and documented to the highest standards. The supervisor also handles team management, resource planning, quality control, and client/vendor coordination during automation projects.
Supervise and manage a team of field I/O technicians during installation and commissioning.
Plan and assign daily activities related to I/O termination, loop testing, and SCADA tag verification.
Ensure proper installation of sensors, actuators, and junction box wiring as per project specs.
Approve loop test results, wiring checks, and ensure conformance to control system architecture.
Coordinate with automation engineers, SCADA integrators, and PLC/DCS teams for seamless integration.
Conduct QA/QC inspections on wiring practices, grounding, and tagging.
Maintain documentation for I/O databases, test reports, redline drawings, and change control.
Implement and enforce electrical safety protocols and project standards.
Team Leadership & Execution Oversight
Assign work, monitor performance, and ensure safety compliance for I/O teams
Train junior technicians and enforce best practices in field installations
SCADA–Field Integration Management
Lead verification of tag data across SCADA and PLC systems
Ensure accurate mapping and functionality of input/output signals
Loop Testing & Troubleshooting Control
Review signal testing (4–20 mA, DI/DO, RTD, etc.) and ensure system readiness
Diagnose and resolve field-to-panel signal mismatches or grounding issues
Documentation & Compliance
Approve and manage I/O loop folders, termination logs, redline diagrams, and commissioning packs
Support audits and validation efforts during FAT/SAT or client handovers
Cross-Functional Coordination
