We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Rotating Equipment Technician to lead the inspection, maintenance, overhaul, and troubleshooting of complex rotating equipment. This role involves supervising maintenance activities, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring high equipment reliability in compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in pumps, turbines, compressors, and motors commonly used in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial facilities.
Lead the diagnosis and repair of failures in high-speed and critical rotating machinery.
Oversee disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of major components.
Perform alignment (laser/dial), balancing, and vibration analysis with minimal supervision.
Plan and execute major equipment overhauls and shutdown/turnaround maintenance scopes.
Ensure proper documentation, component fit-up, and performance testing during critical path jobs.
Collaborate with planners, engineers, and OEMs for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards (API 610, 617, 618, ISO, ASME).
Enforce site safety policies, including LOTO, permit-to-work systems, and confined space protocols.
Maintain workshop standards and lead quality improvement initiatives.
Mentor and train junior and mid-level technicians on technical procedures and best practices.
Supervise contractors and vendors during critical maintenance interventions.
Support development of SOPs and troubleshooting guides.
Ensure detailed logging of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and RCA findings.
Review and approve work orders, inspection reports, and parts requisitions.

Diploma or technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of relevant experience with rotating equipment in industrial settings.
Proven expertise with large or critical rotating assets (e.g., API pumps, centrifugal/reciprocating compressors, turbines).
Strong knowledge of mechanical tolerances, fits, material compatibility, and failure modes.
Proficient in alignment, vibration diagnostics, and use of condition monitoring tools.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Vibration analysis certification (ISO Category II or higher).
OEM-specific training (GE, Flowserve, Sulzer, etc.).
Safety certifications: OSHA, H2S, Confined Space, etc.
