We are seeking an experienced Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to lead the engineering, reliability, and maintenance support of rotating machinery such as pumps, compressors, and turbines. You will provide expert technical guidance, lead complex failure investigations, and drive strategic initiatives to optimize equipment performance in accordance with API standards (API 610, 617, 618). This senior role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring of junior staff to enhance operational excellence.
Lead the development and implementation of reliability and maintenance strategies for rotating equipment.
Provide expert technical support and guidance on design, troubleshooting, and operational issues related to pumps, compressors, and turbines.
Champion the application of API standards (610, 617, 618) in all engineering and maintenance activities.
Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for complex equipment issues and develop corrective action plans.
Analyze performance data and reliability metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce operational costs.
Manage rotating equipment upgrade, replacement, and modification projects from planning through execution.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Review and approve technical specifications, vendor documents, and engineering drawings.
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level rotating equipment engineers.
Collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to resolve issues and optimize asset performance.
Participate in technical reviews and contribute to strategic asset management decisions.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in rotating equipment engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industries.
Demonstrated expertise with API 610, 617, and 618 standards.
Proven track record leading complex technical projects and reliability programs.
Deep understanding of rotating equipment design, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Proficient in reliability engineering tools, root cause analysis, and engineering software (e.g., CAD, SAP PM, Maximo).
Strong project management and vendor management skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to mentor and develop engineering teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
API certifications related to rotating equipment.
Safety certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA.
