We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Rotating Equipment Engineer to support our engineering team. In this role, you will assist in the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and turbines according to API standards (API 610, 617, 618). This position offers excellent hands-on experience for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to grow in the mechanical and rotating equipment field.
Assist in inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, and turbines.
Support the team in monitoring equipment performance and identifying issues impacting reliability and efficiency.
Help prepare and review technical documents such as equipment datasheets, maintenance manuals, and inspection reports.
Assist in failure investigations and root cause analysis for rotating equipment malfunctions.
Support engineering design tasks including specification review, vendor evaluation, and equipment selection.
Participate in modification and upgrade projects of rotating machinery under the guidance of senior engineers.
Apply and learn industry standards including API 610, 617, and 618 in daily engineering tasks.
Ensure equipment and procedures comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Support maintenance and troubleshooting of rotating equipment
Assist in technical documentation and failure analysis
Learn and apply API standards in engineering tasks
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams for equipment reliability
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
0-2 years of experience in rotating equipment or mechanical engineering (internships or academic projects acceptable).
Familiarity with rotating machinery such as pumps, compressors, and turbines is a plus.
Basic understanding of API standards 610, 617, and 618.
Proficient in MS Office; exposure to engineering software (e.g., CAD, reliability tools) is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
API training or basic certification in rotating equipment is a plus.
Safety certifications like OSHA 10 are desirable.
