We are looking for a competent Mid-Level Relief Valve (PSV) Engineer to support the design, specification, testing, and maintenance of pressure safety valve systems. This role involves performing detailed engineering calculations, reviewing vendor documentation, and assisting with PSV lifecycle management to ensure system safety and regulatory compliance. The candidate will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to optimize PSV performance and reliability.
Perform PSV sizing calculations and support development of valve datasheets and technical specifications.
Assist in the selection of appropriate relief valves and accessories based on process parameters and safety requirements.
Review process data and support overpressure protection design for new and existing systems.
Maintain and update PSV registers, datasheets, inspection records, and test certificates.
Support compliance with industry standards such as API 520/521/526, ASME Section VIII, and company policies.
Assist in preparation for audits and safety reviews related to pressure relief systems.
Coordinate and participate in valve testing, calibration, and inspection activities, including factory acceptance tests (FAT).
Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of PSV performance issues.
Track inspection intervals and maintenance schedules for PSV equipment.
Assist with PSV field surveys, installation verifications, and shutdown activities.
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve valve-related issues and implement corrective actions.
Participate in commissioning and start-up activities involving relief valve systems.
Work under guidance from senior engineers to build technical expertise in relief valve engineering.
Stay current with changes in industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
3–6 years of experience in pressure safety valve engineering or related fields in oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, or power sectors.
Hands-on experience with PSV sizing, testing, inspection, or maintenance activities.
Good knowledge of pressure relief device types, operation principles, and safety standards (API 520/521/526, ASME VIII).
Familiarity with engineering software for valve sizing and documentation tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technical requirements.
Basic safety training (e.g., OSHA) or PSV/vendor-specific training.
Familiarity with quality management and inspection processes is a plus.
