We are seeking an experienced and analytical Reliability Manager – Valve Performance & Lifecycle to lead strategies focused on improving the reliability, performance, and lifecycle management of valve assets across water and wastewater treatment facilities and distribution systems. This role is responsible for identifying failure trends, optimizing maintenance strategies, and supporting capital planning to enhance valve integrity and reduce operational risk.
Valve Reliability Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies for critical valve assets across treatment plants and pipeline networks.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for valve-related failures and system disruptions to prevent recurrence.
Define criticality, risk profiles, and maintenance intervals for valve types including gate, butterfly, check, air release, and control valves.
Lifecycle & Performance Optimization
Oversee valve performance monitoring, condition assessments, and end-of-life evaluations to support replacement planning.
Coordinate valve exercising, inspection, and diagnostic testing programs to maintain operational readiness.
Integrate condition-based and predictive maintenance practices using data analytics and sensor technologies.
Asset Management & Data Analytics
Maintain accurate valve asset records in CMMS and GIS systems; ensure data integrity and consistency across platforms.
Analyze historical maintenance, failure, and performance data to improve decision-making and reliability metrics.
Collaborate with IT, SCADA, and engineering teams to implement digital tracking and performance dashboards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and capital planning teams to align reliability goals with system performance.
Support design reviews for new installations and capital projects to ensure long-term reliability and maintainability of valves.
Liaise with manufacturers and vendors to assess product performance and resolve chronic issues.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure all reliability activities comply with safety standards, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare reliability reports, KPIs, and risk analyses for senior leadership and regulatory agencies.
Lead internal training and awareness sessions on valve reliability best practices.
Valve reliability, failure prevention, and performance monitoring
Lifecycle planning and RCM implementation
Data-driven maintenance optimization
Cross-department coordination and capital support
Reliability analytics and risk-based decision-making
