The Senior Reliability Engineer – Valve Systems is a technical leader responsible for driving the overall reliability strategy and execution for valve product lines. This role leads complex reliability engineering programs including advanced failure analysis, risk assessment, reliability growth planning, and validation testing to ensure superior product durability and compliance with ASME, API, and industry standards. The senior engineer mentors reliability teams, collaborates with R&D, manufacturing, and quality functions, and influences design and process decisions that impact product life cycle and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive reliability plans for valve systems across new product development and existing product improvement initiatives.
Oversee advanced failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis (FTA), and root cause failure investigations, providing actionable recommendations.
Direct reliability testing protocols, including pressure cycling, thermal fatigue, vibration, and endurance tests; analyze complex test data and lead corrective action implementation.
Collaborate with design engineering to integrate reliability principles into product designs and materials selection to minimize risk and improve life expectancy.
Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes by applying reliability data and feedback to enhance production quality and yield.
Lead cross-functional teams in resolving high-impact reliability issues and communicating findings to senior leadership and external customers.
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level reliability engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
Ensure all reliability activities comply with ASME, API, ISO, and relevant industry standards and support certification efforts.
Develop and present detailed reliability reports, risk assessments, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
