The Mid-Level Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving the reliability, availability, and maintainability of mechanical assets across the facility. This role focuses on analyzing equipment performance, identifying failure modes, optimizing maintenance strategies, and supporting condition monitoring and root cause investigations.
Monitor performance metrics (MTBF, MTTR, failure frequency) for rotating and static equipment
Develop and update asset maintenance strategies to increase reliability and reduce downtime
Assist in lifecycle cost analysis and asset criticality assessments
Review and enhance PM and PdM strategies
Implement condition-based monitoring techniques (vibration, oil analysis, thermography)
Recommend upgrades or design modifications based on asset performance trends
Lead or participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to resolve recurring issues
Document findings and implement corrective/preventive actions
Utilize CMMS (SAP, Maximo, etc.) to track asset data, maintenance history, and work orders
Maintain accurate records of reliability metrics, analysis, and technical reports
Support spare parts optimization and bill of materials (BOM) updates
Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and internal teams for reliability improvement initiatives
Train technicians and junior engineers in reliability practices and tools
Contribute to capital project reviews with a focus on long-term asset performance

CMMS data integrity and equipment strategy optimization
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
3–6 years of experience in reliability or mechanical maintenance engineering
Strong understanding of mechanical systems (pumps, compressors, valves, gearboxes, etc.)
Experience with FMEA, RCA, RCM, and predictive maintenance tools
Proficiency in CMMS platforms (SAP PM, Maximo, etc.)
Data analysis (Excel, Power BI) and technical documentation skills
CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional)
CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer)
ISO 55000 or Six Sigma knowledge (a plus)
Office and plant floor environment
May require PPE and occasional shift or weekend support
Minimal travel as required
