We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer to lead and drive reliability engineering initiatives focused on mechanical assets. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive reliability strategies, overseeing complex failure investigations, and providing expert technical guidance to optimize asset performance and minimize downtime. The role requires collaboration across multiple departments to ensure maintenance and operational excellence in compliance with industry standards.
Lead the development and implementation of mechanical reliability programs, including reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), predictive maintenance, and risk-based inspection (RBI).
Provide technical leadership on complex failure investigations and root cause analysis (RCA) for critical mechanical equipment.
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level reliability engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices.
Oversee the collection, validation, and advanced analysis of mechanical equipment performance data.
Develop and present comprehensive reliability reports, KPIs, dashboards, and trend analyses to senior management.
Use data-driven insights to inform maintenance strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and asset integrity teams to ensure reliability objectives are met.
Lead reliability improvement projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and budget constraints.
Participate in design reviews and lifecycle management of mechanical equipment to embed reliability principles early.
Ensure reliability programs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and corporate policies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset reliability, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in mechanical reliability engineering.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in mechanical reliability engineering, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industries.
Proven track record leading reliability programs and complex mechanical failure investigations.
Expertise in RCM, RCA, FMEA, predictive maintenance, and RBI methodologies.
Proficiency with reliability software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, AEA, Meridium) and data analytics tools.
Deep understanding of mechanical equipment operation, failure modes, and inspection techniques.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a dynamic environment.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or equivalent professional certification.
Training or certification in API 580/581, RCM, FMEA, or RCA.
Safety certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA.
