The Regional Director – Business Development is responsible for leading the company’s growth initiatives within a specific geographic region. This role focuses on identifying market opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, closing high-impact deals, and building a robust pipeline to drive regional revenue and market share expansion. Develop and implement regional business development strategies aligned with global growth objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and pursue high-potential opportunities across industries and sectors in the assigned region.
Establish and grow key relationships with regional partners, government entities, distributors, and major clients.
Lead contract negotiations and close strategic deals that contribute to long-term growth.
Monitor regional market trends, competition, and economic developments to adapt and optimize strategy.
Coordinate closely with local marketing, operations, and product teams to ensure successful market entry and customer engagement.
Represent the company at regional trade shows, conferences, and high-level networking events.
Manage and mentor regional business development managers and local sales teams.
Provide regular reporting and updates on pipeline status, deal progression, and revenue performance to executive leadership.
Ensure compliance with regional legal, regulatory, and cultural requirements in all business activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
8–12 years of experience in business development, including regional or international market oversight.
Proven track record of securing high-value contracts and expanding market presence across borders.
Strong understanding of local business practices, regulatory environments, and cultural nuances.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and data-driven pipeline management.
Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
Multilingual capabilities relevant to the assigned region.
