We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Quality Control Inspector to support the inspection and verification of fabricated parts and assemblies. This role involves conducting basic visual and dimensional checks, documenting inspection results, and assisting in ensuring that production meets quality and customer specifications.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of fabricated components (cut, bent, rolled, punched, or welded).
Use basic measuring tools such as vernier calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, and protractors.
Read and understand basic 2D mechanical drawings, fabrication symbols, and part tolerances.
Cross-check actual part dimensions against drawing requirements and inspection checklists.
Identify common fabrication defects such as burrs, warping, incorrect bends, weld inconsistencies, or surface finish issues.
Report deviations or non-conformities to the QC Lead or Production Supervisor.
Assist in maintaining inspection logs, check sheets, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Tag and segregate rejected parts as per quality procedures.
Follow all safety protocols while working around machinery and on the shop floor.
Ensure tools and measuring instruments are handled and stored properly.
Conduct routine inspections of fabricated components in production and post-processing stages.
Assist QC Engineer or Supervisor in sample inspection and product audits.
Learn and apply basic concepts of tolerance, fitment, and flatness checks.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve minor quality issues on the floor.
Maintain good housekeeping in inspection zones and care for inspection tools.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, or Quality Control.
0–2 years of experience in mechanical or fabrication shop environments (freshers with strong fundamentals welcome).
Basic knowledge of mechanical drawings and inspection tools.
Exposure to weld inspection, bend angle checking, or sheet metal quality checks.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, 5S, or basic quality documentation.
Good observation, communication, and teamwork skills.
