Job Title: Quality Control Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Fresher Automotive Quality Control Engineer to join our dynamic quality control team in the automotive industry. As a fresher in this role, you will assist in ensuring that automotive products meet the required standards of quality, safety, and performance. You will help with the inspection, testing, and documentation of quality assurance processes. Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will learn about quality control systems, techniques, and tools while contributing to the continuous improvement of product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Inspections:
- Assist in the inspection and testing of automotive components and products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Help in performing visual inspections, measurements, and functional testing to detect any defects or deviations from product standards.
- Learn and use quality control instruments and tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to assess the quality of parts and components.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation for internal teams and suppliers, including non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
- Ensure that all inspection results are documented and available for review by senior engineers and management.
Supporting Quality Control Systems:
- Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control systems, such as ISO 9001 or other relevant industry standards.
- Learn to monitor and track the effectiveness of quality control processes and recommend improvements.
- Help support audits and reviews of production processes to identify opportunities for quality enhancements.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work with manufacturing teams to ensure products are being produced according to design and quality specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting quality-related issues, providing solutions to improve product quality.
- Collaborate with design and production engineers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Learn about and assist in applying continuous improvement practices, such as Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.
- Contribute ideas for improving product quality, efficiency, and safety in the manufacturing process.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills in quality control and automotive manufacturing.
Learning and Development:
- Participate in on-the-job training and mentorship under the guidance of senior engineers to improve your understanding of quality control techniques and processes.
- Gain hands-on experience with quality control systems, tools, and software used in automotive manufacturing.
- Continuously improve your knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and quality control methods.

Vehicle Dynamics:
- Assist in analyzing and optimizing vehicle handling, stability, and ride comfort through simulation and testing.
Powertrain Systems:
- Contribute to the design and testing of powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrains.
Structural Engineering:
- Design and test vehicle structures for safety, performance, and durability under various conditions.
Electronics & Electrical Systems:
- Support the integration of electronic systems, including vehicle control, infotainment, and electrical power distribution.
Thermal Systems:
- Assist in the development of thermal management systems, focusing on engine cooling and HVAC systems.
Manufacturing & Assembly:
- Participate in optimizing manufacturing processes and assembly techniques to improve efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Recent graduates or individuals with up to 1-2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of quality control principles, tools, and techniques used in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with inspection and testing equipment such as micrometers, gauges, and testing machines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, and analysis.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect and document defects or deviations in products.
- Good communication skills for reporting quality issues, collaborating with teams, and preparing documentation.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and take direction from senior engineers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire to learn and improve.
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
- Any quality control-related certifications such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing is a plus but not required.
- Basic training in quality control or automotive manufacturing practices is advantageous.
