We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior QA/QC Supervisor – Valve Installations to lead and execute quality assurance and control activities associated with industrial valve installation and testing. This role demands strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of international codes (API, ASME, ISO), and the ability to manage quality oversight across large, complex mechanical scopes. The ideal candidate will serve as a key interface between construction, commissioning, client inspectors, and internal QA teams to ensure flawless execution and regulatory compliance.
Lead all QA/QC efforts related to valve installation (manual, actuated, safety, and control valves) across the site or project.
Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, valve installation procedures, and test protocols.
Coordinate closely with the engineering, procurement, and site execution teams to resolve technical and quality issues.
Supervise and witness complex valve installations including those on high-pressure, high-temperature, and critical process lines.
Oversee hydrostatic, pneumatic, seat leak, and function testing in accordance with API 598, API 6D, or project specifications.
Validate actuator calibration, SRV set pressures, and MOV functionality in collaboration with vendors or commissioning teams.
Ensure that all valve-related inspection and testing documentation is properly completed, reviewed, and archived.
Approve final inspection dossiers, test packs, and handover documentation to commissioning and client representatives.
Manage the traceability of valves (tag numbers, serial numbers, MTCs, calibration certificates) and ensure full compliance with material and construction records.
Act as the primary QA contact for client representatives and third-party inspectors on valve installation issues.
Lead or support internal and external quality audits, including pre-commissioning and mechanical completion inspections.
Issue and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Quality Observation Reports (QORs), and participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
Mentor junior QA/QC engineers and inspectors, provide technical training, and guide quality-related decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in valve quality control processes, procedures, and documentation practices.
Recommend updates to quality procedures to incorporate lessons learned and industry best practices.
