We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Junior QA/QC Supervisor – Valve Installations to support quality inspection activities related to the installation and testing of industrial valves. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for individuals with technical exposure to mechanical systems who are developing their careers in quality control. The role involves assisting in inspection, documentation, compliance monitoring, and reporting under the guidance of senior QA/QC personnel.
Assist in inspecting the installation of industrial valves (gate, globe, ball, butterfly, check, control, and safety valves) for correct orientation, flange alignment, and torqueing.
Monitor compliance with project specifications, P&IDs, and manufacturer installation guidelines.
Report non-conformances and support the execution of corrective actions.
Support hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of installed valves as per project or code requirements (e.g., API 598, API 6D).
Witness basic operational checks (open/close function, actuator calibration, tag verification).
Coordinate with commissioning and construction teams during testing and startup phases.
Maintain inspection checklists, installation punch lists, and test reports.
Update quality records and assist in compiling test packages and final documentation dossiers.
Support traceability of valve serial numbers, MTCs, and vendor compliance certificates.
Adhere to quality and safety policies during all field inspections and testing activities.
Ensure proper PPE use and safe working practices around pressurized systems and construction areas.
Participate in toolbox talks, QA meetings, and briefings with senior QA/QC staff.
Coordinate inspection activities with installation crews, vendors, and senior QA/QC engineers.
Learn to interpret technical drawings, valve data sheets, and QA standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
Proactively build knowledge on valve types, field installation challenges, and QA techniques.
Support inspection of valve installations
Basic test witnessing and documentation
Compliance tracking and non-conformance reporting
Learning QA standards and field coordination
Education:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Technology, or related technical field
Certifications (Preferred or Willing to Obtain):
API 598, API 6D Familiarity
QA/QC introductory certifications (e.g., CSWIP 3.0, ISO 9001 awareness)
Experience:
1–2 years of field or workshop experience in mechanical installations or QA/QC support roles
Exposure to valve systems and piping installations is a plus
Skills:
Basic understanding of QA/QC processes in mechanical projects
Ability to read basic technical drawings and P&IDs
Good communication, organization, and observation skills
Willingness to learn and follow site protocols
