The Senior QA/QC Supervisor – Fabricated Systems provides strategic leadership and comprehensive oversight of quality assurance and control operations for fabricated equipment and systems in food and beverage manufacturing. This senior role ensures rigorous compliance with sanitary and regulatory standards, drives quality excellence, and leads continuous improvement initiatives. The supervisor manages a multi-disciplinary QA/QC team and collaborates closely with engineering, production, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Lead and manage all QA/QC activities for fabricated process equipment, ensuring full compliance with 3-A Sanitary Standards, FDA, USDA, and customer requirements.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality control systems, inspection protocols, and documentation standards.
Oversee complex root cause analyses and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs.
Mentor and develop QA/QC supervisors, inspectors, and fabrication personnel, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
Manage preparation and execution of internal and external quality audits, including third-party and customer audits.
Drive Lean and Six Sigma quality improvement projects to enhance product reliability and process efficiency.
Monitor quality performance metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to senior leadership.
Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and food safety regulations across all QA/QC operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred
Relevant certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Six Sigma Black Belt, or HACCP/PCQI beneficial
8+ years in QA/QC roles within food-grade or sanitary equipment fabrication environments
At least 4 years in senior supervisory or leadership positions
Expert knowledge of quality management systems, food safety regulations, and sanitary fabrication standards
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
Proven ability to lead quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience managing multi-shift teams and complex projects
