The Mid-Level QA/QC Supervisor – Fabricated Systems leads quality assurance and control activities for fabricated equipment and systems used in food and beverage manufacturing. This role manages inspection processes, enforces compliance with food safety and industry standards, and drives continuous quality improvement. The supervisor collaborates closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to ensure all products meet regulatory and customer requirements.
Supervise QA/QC inspections and testing of fabricated equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with 3-A Sanitary Standards, FDA, and customer specifications.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
Develop and enforce quality control procedures, checklists, and documentation practices.
Train and mentor QA/QC inspectors and fabrication personnel on quality standards and inspection techniques.
Coordinate with engineering, production, and suppliers to communicate quality expectations and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive QA/QC records and prepare reports for management review.
Support internal and external quality audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certification or associate degree in quality assurance, fabrication, or related field preferred
4–6 years experience in QA/QC or quality supervision within food-grade fabrication or sanitary equipment manufacturing
Proven track record managing quality control processes and teams
Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles, food safety regulations, and sanitary standards (3-A, FDA, USDA)
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across functions
Experience with audit preparation and quality management systems
