The Senior QA/QC Supervisor – Boiler Code Compliance leads the execution and enforcement of quality assurance and code compliance activities for boiler systems, pressure parts, and high-energy piping. This role ensures conformance to applicable codes such as ASME BPVC (Sections I, IV, V, VIII, IX), NBIC, API 510, and jurisdictional authority requirements. The position requires hands-on supervision, technical leadership, and strong coordination with field teams, third-party inspectors, and code authorities.
Lead QA/QC efforts across all phases of boiler fabrication, repair, maintenance, and shutdown projects.
Review and approve WPS, PQRs, WPQs, and ensure their implementation in accordance with ASME Section IX.
Supervise welding inspections, pressure part examinations, NDE (RT, UT, MT, PT), and hydrostatic testing per applicable code.
Develop and enforce Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), QA/QC procedures, and hold point checklists for boiler pressure systems.
Validate material traceability, welding consumable control, heat treatment records, and post-weld inspection reports.
Act as the technical liaison with Authorized Inspectors (AI), jurisdictional authorities, and third-party agencies for code stamping, certifications, and audits.
Lead audits, NCR tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution of quality issues related to boiler pressure components.
Maintain complete QA documentation packages for R-Stamp, NBIC, and ASME code compliance.
Train and mentor QA/QC staff, welders, and field supervisors in code interpretation and best practices.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in welding quality, inspection efficiency, and documentation accuracy.
Code Compliance Leadership
Ensure full compliance with ASME, NBIC, and API 510 standards for boiler and pressure system work.
Technical Oversight of Welding and NDE
Lead all aspects of welding quality, including procedure approvals, visual inspection, and NDE management.
