The Proposal / Bid / Tendering Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end bidding and tendering process for commercial and government projects. This includes coordinating internal stakeholders, analyzing tender documents, preparing competitive proposals, and ensuring timely and compliant submissions. The role plays a critical part in securing new business by delivering high-quality, compelling bids that meet client requirements.
Manage and oversee the complete bid and tender process from opportunity identification to final submission.
Analyze RFQs, RFPs, and tender documentation to understand project scope, client requirements, and evaluation criteria.
Coordinate with technical, commercial, legal, and operational teams to compile proposal inputs.
Develop and manage bid schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Write, format, and assemble technical and commercial proposals in line with client expectations.
Ensure all submissions are fully compliant with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Maintain and update bid libraries, templates, and standard proposal content.
Lead pricing discussions in coordination with finance and sales teams, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.
Participate in bid/no-bid decisions, risk assessments, and post-bid reviews.
Serve as the main point of contact with clients for clarification and submission queries.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
5–8 years of experience in proposal management, tendering, or bid coordination roles.
Strong knowledge of tendering procedures (public and private sector), contractual terms, and compliance requirements.
Excellent project management, communication, and document control skills.
High attention to detail, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of tender portals and CRM tools is a plus.
Industry experience in [customize: e.g., construction, engineering, IT, oil & gas, defense, or facility management].
Familiarity with international bidding frameworks (e.g., FIDIC, UN, World Bank, GCC procurement).
APMP certification or formal training in bid/proposal management is an advantage.
