The Projects Manager – Valve Replacement/Upgrades is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering all capital and maintenance-driven valve projects, including major replacements, upgrades, retrofits, and plant improvement initiatives. The role ensures that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards, especially in high-pressure, hazardous, or time-constrained environments.
Lead front-end engineering and project scoping for valve-related upgrades and replacements
Coordinate technical assessments, walkdowns, and feasibility studies with maintenance and operations teams
Develop work packages including P&IDs, valve lists, spec sheets, isometrics, and tie-in points
Liaise with engineering firms, valve OEMs, and EPCs for design validation and material compliance
Specify, select, and procure valves (isolation, control, safety, check, and automated) for project use
Ensure proper QA/QC review of vendor drawings, test plans, FAT reports, and material certifications
Coordinate construction, shutdown tie-ins, valve removal/replacement, and commissioning
Oversee safety compliance, risk assessments, and hot work permits during field execution
Track daily progress, manage site contractors, and resolve technical and logistical issues
Manage project budgets, schedules, milestones, and cash flow forecasts
Report KPIs, earned value, and change orders to senior stakeholders
Maintain accurate documentation: as-built drawings, test records, commissioning sheets
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Process Safety for interface planning
Lead project kickoff meetings, weekly reviews, and post-project evaluations
Provide briefings to plant leadership, auditors, or regulatory bodies when required
