We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Projects Manager (Mechanical Scope) to lead and manage the successful delivery of mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all mechanical aspects of capital and maintenance projects, including design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Plan, manage, and oversee mechanical projects related to equipment installation, piping systems, HVAC, pressure vessels, and rotating machinery.
Define project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource needs in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely reporting and documentation.
Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure mechanical deliverables align with design specifications and industry standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure engineering and technical integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
Resolve technical issues and support troubleshooting during installation and commissioning phases.
Manage contracts related to mechanical packages, equipment supply, and subcontractors.
Evaluate vendor proposals, review technical submissions, and oversee vendor performance.
Ensure proper integration and interface management between internal and external stakeholders.
Control project budgets and schedules to achieve cost-efficiency and deadline adherence.
Monitor and enforce quality control measures and inspection procedures.
Implement corrective actions to address variances in schedule, cost, or technical quality.
Ensure all mechanical project activities comply with HSE policies and regulations.
Promote a culture of safety during execution and commissioning phases.
Participate in risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations as required.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred).
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a strong asset.
8–12 years of experience in mechanical engineering project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Experience managing projects in oil & gas, petrochemical, utilities, or heavy industry.
Proven track record in mechanical installation, fabrication, commissioning, and turnaround projects.
Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, piping systems, rotating equipment, and HVAC.
Familiarity with engineering standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, and ISO.
Proficient in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and ERP/CMMS systems.
PMP® or equivalent project management credential
CMRP®, OSHA/NEBOSH, or other safety-related certifications
