The Project Manager – Boiler Installation & Upgrades leads the planning, coordination, and execution of boiler system installation and upgrade projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and meet quality and regulatory standards. The Project Manager collaborates with engineering, procurement, construction teams, and external contractors to deliver reliable, efficient steam generation systems supporting plant operations.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for boiler installation and upgrade projects.
Manage project scope, resources, timelines, and deliverables to meet stakeholder expectations.
Coordinate with engineering for design reviews, technical specifications, and compliance requirements.
Oversee procurement of boilers, auxiliaries, instrumentation, and controls.
Manage contractors and internal teams during installation, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Monitor progress, resolve issues, and facilitate communication across teams.
Oversee commissioning and startup activities, including testing, balancing, and validation.
Ensure proper documentation and handover of operational and maintenance manuals.
Ensure all project activities comply with OSHA, ASME, EPA, and local regulatory codes.
Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits on project sites.
Lead risk assessments and manage mitigation plans.
Provide regular project updates to senior management, plant leadership, and external partners.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and records.
Facilitate project meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field preferred
7+ years of project management experience in industrial boiler systems or utilities projects
Proven track record managing boiler installation or upgrade projects in food & beverage or similar industries
Familiarity with construction processes, safety regulations, and mechanical codes
Strong knowledge of boiler systems, pressure vessels, and steam utilities
Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
Understanding of ASME, OSHA, EPA regulations relevant to boiler installations
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
